Student Graphic Designers are self-motivated, multitasking organized student employees who possesses superior illustration, graphic design, and communication skills.
Student Graphic Designers in the SAFE Center will work approximately 5-15 hours per week during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
All student employees of the SAFE Center are expected to meet the necessary obligations with performing the specific functions of their jobs is addition to modeling our values of inclusion and (intersectional) social justice, while creating a safe, affirming space for survivors of interpersonal violence.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Think creatively and develop new and original design concepts, graphics, and layouts. C
• Work with a wide range of media, including Adobe graphic design software. DP, C
• Create and edit online and print marketing materials for SAFE programs including, but not limited to, awareness campaigns, body image education, and advocacy materials. DP, C, WC
• Maintain tools to manage project details and schedule. PC
• Help create and maintain fresh and up-to-date social media presence on multiple social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram. DP, WC
• Attend SAFE trainings and, socials, and recognition events. TW
Required Skills
• Enrolled in a Fine and Studio Arts, Graphic Design and/or Business Marketing major/minor(s). DP
• Strong administrative skills including attention to details and managing multiple projects. PA
• Knowledge of industry leading design software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.). DP
• Ability to demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of the Survivor Advocacy and Feminist Education Center, Student Diversity Programs and Services, and Colorado State University. L, TW
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS programming languages
• Experience building responsive WordPress themes using Elementor page builder
